Our Infectious Media ‘Pathways’ series of interviews aims to highlight the career options available within the business. In our first interview, Rosie Shimell, Head of People, speaks to Rachael Morris, about how she became Infectious Media’s Optimisation & Insight Director.

Current Opportunities

  • Business Development Director APAC

    This is an exciting role for an experienced senior sales person in the APAC region. Based in the Singapore office and reporting to the Revenue Director in London, you will be responsible for the overall development of revenue for the region. Working closely with the Global Revenue Director, you will help define the sales and go to market strategy, selling directly to advertisers in the region. Furthermore, you will be the senior sponsor for incumbent clients, working closely with the APAC client teams to develop and build revenues from our clients. This role will suit an ambitious self-starter with extensive sales and leadership experience in programmatic, ad tech or digital media. You must have experience of selling directly to advertisers. You will have overall responsibility for building the sales pipeline, business development and customer relationship development in the region.

    Here's what we'd like you to do:
    • Manage long term relationships from first contact through to contract close and revenue development.
    • Selling at highest stakeholder level possible 
    • Effective lead qualification and development
    • Deliver revenues and close contracts from in-bound opportunities
    • Manage RFI and RFP processes through to close
    • Motivating and mobilising local and HQ teams to deliver wider company teams to deliver winning solutions 
    • Oversee the effective on-boarding and handover of new clients to the delivery team
    • Working with Marketing to identify relevant industry events in the region, develop collateral, create bespoke strategies to influence decision makers
    • Develop an extensive network within your client base to cement long term relationships
    • Deliver effective pipeline reporting and revenue forecasting whilst maintaining effective documentation on opportunities
    • Appropriately use of the company’s senior management to ensure strong client relationships
    • Development of strategic solutions for clients to drive revenue growth and client retention
    • As the senior person in the APAC office you will lead and mentor the team to deliver excellence and ensure Infectious Media success in the region 
    This is what you'll have done already: 
    • 7 years + sales experience in digital media agency, programmatic, ad tech, SaaS
    • Experience of selling directly to advertisers.
    • Relevant contacts for the APAC region
    • Deep understanding of ad tech ecosystem
    • Consultative selling technique to understand the client’s requirements and develop appropriate winning solutions
    • Highly professional self-starter / motivated to deliver against business goals
    • Autonomous yet able to work closely with regional delivery team in Singapore as well as central team in London
    • Driven to deliver results

    • Experience in writing sales documentation, effective RFI’s, white papers etc

  • Data Engineer

    The Data Engineering team at Infectious Media forms the core of the Platform team, linking all the other departments together and facilitating simple, fast and robust data exchange between each and every system we use. We are looking for someone to develop and enhance the smooth day-to-day running of our data systems and contribute to ongoing best-practice development in the department.

    This position within the team provides someone with a great understanding of data and solid programming skills to manage and process the vastly increasing data volumes we are seeing (we record more than 200 million unique events each day), whilst at the same time looking at ways to streamline and improve our data handling processes and technologies to balance batch and real-time jobs. Infectious Media are leaders in the Real Time Bidding industry and data is the key to the cutting edge technology that we use. This role is essential for ensuring we use data in the best and most innovative ways possible.

    Here's what we'd like you to do:

    • Managing the Extract, Transform and Load (ETL) processes of the company to ensure they remain efficient and robust
    • Understanding the data warehousing needs of the company to help identify weaknesses in the current architecture and suggest improvements
    • Identifying and resolving data issues in a timely manner.
    • Maintaining a broad knowledge of all data systems the company utilises
    • Helping to improve the efficiency and reliability of data systems and processes by identifying areas that would benefit from automation, including testing
    • Working with other platform Analysts and Managers to support the introduction of new technologies and data streams
    • Working with the Insights team to support their understanding of the company’s data warehouses
    This is what you'll have done already: 

    • Excellent understanding of database and data warehouse technologies, including standard row RDBMS, columnar RDBMS and some form of NoSQL (e.g. key-value, document, graph stores)
    • Excellent understanding of ETL techniques, including the reasons why data needs to be manipulated in this fashion
    • Good understanding of the differences in structure of databases and data warehouses and when to use which technologies for what tasks
    • Good level of understanding of Python with experience in automated testing, high code quality and other engineering best practises
    • Ability to quickly create workable solutions to technical problems.
    • Experience with using Google Cloud, BigQuery and their Data related API’s is a bonus
    • Knowledge of machine learning techniques such as logistic regression or random forests (desirable).
    • Computer Science (or similar such as Maths with Computer Science) degree plus 3+ years industry experience

  • HR and Office Coordinator

    The HR & Office Coordinator at Infectious Media plays a pivotal role in providing HR/Recruitment support within our People team, overseeing the facilities management of our Farringdon office and providing a PA service to our two Partners (the CEO & COO), as well as broader admin support to our Exec team. The HR side of the role will take up about 70% of your time. Reporting into the Head of People, our ideal candidate will be a proactive super-star with at least 2 years HR experience and strong administration skills. Due to the broad nature of the role you will enjoy wearing many hats, be used to working with senior members of staff and have a willingness to ‘muck in’. For the right candidate this role will provide many exciting challenges and the opportunity to grow within this exciting, fast paced agency.

    What we'd like from you: 
    • Minimum 2 years HR experience, with some senior administration & PA experience too.

    • Used to working in a fast paced office environment, preferably within the advertising/media/tech industries.

    • Able to demonstrate confidence in working autonomously

    • Happy to act as a central point of contact for all employees in the Business

    You'll already be:
    • A proactive self starter who enjoys completion of set tasks to high standard

    • Used to dealing with confidential information

  • Account Director

    The Account Director is a pivotal role at Infectious Media. Reporting to a Client Partner, you'll be tasked with managing one of our top clients, helping to lead strategy that delivers performance. You will also be managing a team team responsible for delivering and optimising campaigns. Our ideal candidate will have experience in digital display or programmatic at an agency, advertiser or DSP.

    Here's what we'd like you to do:

    • Lead a team of account managers and execs to plan and deliver outstanding campaigns for your clients
    • Be the ‘internal client’ –  Ask questions and challenge the teams and status quo in order to be confident we are delivering the very best work
    • Build strong relationships with senior clients based on mutual trust and respect and a consistently high standard in all client facing activities
    • Identify and resolve potential issues and blockages before they become critical
    • Drive forward the client strategy and be accountable for the delivery of it
    • Be seen as a trusted advisor to clients on all aspects of Programmatic media buying within the broader (digital) marketing context
    • Set client expectations and work to ensure we deliver to or above them
    • Ensure timely and accurate delivery of agreed client requirements; reports, calls etc.
    • Identify and nurture talent within your team. Encourage knowledge sharing and personal and professional development, leading by example.
    • Deliver accurate spend and performance forecasting for clients and business
    • Spot the opportunity to pitch to existing clients on new products and platforms and develop the strategy to make it a reality
    • Support the new business team providing strategic direction and resource

    This is what you'll have done already:


    • You'll currently be a Senior Account Manager or Account Director
    • Be compfortable with data 
    • Experience managing a team of people
    • A confident and experienced presenter
    •  You may also have:

  • Technical Product Manager

    As a Technical Product Manager at Infectious Media you will be responsible for shipping features that keeps the business at the forefront of what is possible in adtech. You will be working with our Strategy team to define and prioritise what gets built, at the same time as keeping our industry leading technology active and delivering revenue. You will be someone that enjoys working in short development cycles, turning ideas into shipped products within a couple of weeks. You'll be able to work effectively with rapid feedback from our production systems and turn them into immediately actionable next steps.

    Here's what we'd like you to do:
    • Own the route from technical specification through to shipping features across our core applications.

    • Feed into, and execute on, our long term strategic roadmap.

    • Keep up to date on changes in the industry to ensure we're always at the leading edge.

    • Prioritise the backlog based on strategic and revenue goals.

    • Work with teams across the business, including SREs, Data Engineers, Software Engineers, Account Managers, Marketing and Sales, to ensure we're heading in the right direction.

    • Run our sprint planning meetings and define our engineering direction for the coming week.

    • Prioritise and act on feedback from our end users.

    This is what you'll have done already: 
    • Worked with design and engineering teams to ship features.

    • Queried databases using SQL.

    • Programmed in Python, Ruby, JavaScript or another language at least at a hobbyist level.

    • Worked directly with key stakeholders to define technical requirements.

    • A STEM degree or 3+ years experience in a Technical Product Manager role.

    • Ideally worked in Adtech, but we'll train you up if you haven't.
