Our values

As Roy Disney (the older brother of Walt, and co-founder of Walt Disney) once said, “It’s not hard to make decisions once you know what your values are”. Our core values define how we choose to progress as a company and as individuals.

We are straight talkers

We are open and upfront with our clients and each other.

We commit

We do what we say we will, and are passionate about doing it.

We do the right thing

We act fairly and responsibly with each other, our clients, our partners, and the people that receive our advertising.

We never stand still

There is no blueprint for what we do, so we constantly seek out the new, to deliver for clients and our business.

We are better as a team

We do great work, but truly brilliant work happens when we bring together our diverse skills in technology, data and media.

Life here is more than work

We are more than just great programmers, marketers, and analysts. Our people are encouraged to seek out the ‘extra-curricular’ stuff too!

At Infectious Media, you’ll find (in decreasing order of activeness)…

  • A lunchtime running club
  • An all-star football team
  • Regular yoga classes and rock climbing
  • Games, film and quiz nights
  • Summer evenings at the cricket
  • Fans of Farringdon’s pub scene
  • Anything else our team can dream up!

Recruitment Process

The interview process needn’t be daunting at Infectious Media. Here’s what to expect when you apply for a job with us:

  1. For the roles that require you to know your way around data or spreadsheets, entry level applicants will be asked to complete a short maths test.
  2. ‘Meet and greet’ interview
This is an opportunity for you to talk through your experience and your career goals. We’ll also take the chance to tell you all about the role and the culture here at Infectious Media.
  3. Second interview
Here we like to delve down a bit further. All candidates, whether you’re interviewing for an entry level role, or senior position will be given a task. The task will vary depending on the nature of the role – it could be analysing data, presenting your thoughts on the future of advertising, or a technical task.

Increase your chances of success with these key tips:

  • We’re pretty casual over here. So swap that suit and tie for something that more reflects who you are
  • Research, research, research. What we do isn’t always the most straightforward. Take some time to figure out what our business does, and get some understanding of how it works
  • Show some passion! Come armed with some questions about the business, the industry and your role within it

  • Director of Technology and Data
    London

This is an exciting opportunity to join a fast paced, ambitious business that’s disrupting the media buying landscape. Since its founding in 2008, Infectious Media has remained a leading voice within the programmatic advertising industry and we are proud to have clients who are amongst the most innovative and advanced advertisers in the world. Technology always has been at the forefront of what we do. As the Director of Technology and Data at Infectious Media, you will lead the team responsible for the IT systems and technology required to support the delivery of our core services. This responsibility spans the development of proprietary tools and systems, but also the integration of 3rd party systems and data. The role requires excellent communication skills and you will be comfortable leading technical discussions directly with clients and with internal and external stakeholders. You will work closely with our Strategy, Analytics and Supply Partnerships teams to define and prioritise what gets built, at the same time as keeping our data pipeline technology active and delivering revenue via integrations with multiple 3rd party platforms. You will be someone that enjoys working in short development cycles, turning client requests into shipped products within a couple of weeks. You'll be able to work effectively with rapid feedback from our production systems and turn them into immediately actionable next steps. You will also be comfortable liaising directly with senior leadership executives on technology and product strategy to best utilise your team’s resources to achieve company objectives.

Here's what we'd like you to do:
    •  Own the route from technical specification through to shipping features across our core applications, primarily our ETL and workflow efficiency systems

    • Feed into, and execute on, our long term strategic roadmap, including future integrations that should be carried out to achieve business goals

    • Work closely with the Strategy, Analytics and Supply/Partnerships teams, to define which products should be assigned to which team member and ensuring they get the help and support they need to succeed.

    • Manage the Data Engineering and the Technical Account Management teams, as well as our outsourced Application Engineering team.

    • Support client pitches, suggesting technical solutions for the business problems raised

    • Support client meetings where technical oversight is required, steering clients to what they want, rather than what they ask for.

    • Own the technical relationship with 3rd party partners.

    • Keep up to date on changes in the industry and technology ecosystem to ensure our IT systems and technologies are effective and best suited to meet our objectives.

    • Prioritise the backlog based on strategic and revenue goals

    • Work with teams across the business, including Analysts, Data Engineers, Software Engineers, Account Managers, Marketing and Sales, to ensure we're heading in the right direction

    • Run our sprint planning meetings and define our engineering direction for the coming week

    • Prioritise and act on feedback from our end users

This is what you'll have done already:
    • Have several years experience in the Ad-Tech and or Mar-Tech sector and have a good understanding of the key components of a modern day Ad-Tech stack

    • A confident communicator with the ability to explain complex systems and technologies to non-technical clients and colleagues, in a simple and effective way

    • Worked with engineering teams to ship features based on yours and others technical specifications

    • Queried databases using SQL and worked on creating and/or improving database structure to suit the business need

    • Managed an ETL pipeline, preferably in Airflow
