  • DevOps Engineer

    Infectious Media are looking for a competent DevOps Engineer in order to maintain, develop and enhance our robust system cloud based infrastructure that supports a high throughput, low latency application. The role also involves maintaining and improving our existing cloud infrastructure to ensure all our productions systems are robust and can service a growing number of clients in this fast moving company. Managing data forms the backbone of the role (the infrastructure needing to support the ingestion and processing of 2Tb of data a day) and the development and implementation of smart solutions for the analysing and the deriving of benefit from this data is something that is a regular challenge.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Work closely with our Engineering team to maintain and extend our Google Cloud Engine cloud based infrastructure to a robust, scalable and fault tolerant platform for our data warehouse and business intelligence systems
    • Ensure best practice tools and technologies are used to maximize uptime and recovery from downtime
    • Help design and implement new infrastructure to deal with the optimisation of real time bidding (RTB), with a focus on supporting the Data Science team by providing them with an environment to test their latest algorithms
    • Enhance our data warehouse and ETL systems to handle the processing of more data more frequently, specifically to improve data analysis and optimisation
    • Support the infrastructure during periods of downtime, both by reducing the number of occurrences of downtime, and by reducing the time taken to resolve issues, as well as ensuring adequate team support during holiday periods
    • Maintain the bleeding edge mentality at the company by attending relevant conferences to ensure we are using the latest technologies
    • Consult on and implement the company’s cloud infrastructure strategy over the next few years



    • Excellent grounding in standard UNIX / Linux system administration skills, including different Linux types, kernel optimisation, networking and security
    • Excellent understanding of cloud concepts and technologies, including virtualisation, elastic scaling and performance / redundancy features
    • Extensive experience with a cloud based platform, ideally Google Cloud Engine, but any other major provider (e.g. Amazon Web Services, Rackspace) will be considered
    • Experience with Data Warehousing systems, ideally Google BigQuery but other major systems (e.g. Amazon Redshift, Greenplum, Vertica, Vectorwise) will be considered
    • Excellent experience with running infrastructures via code (using e.g. Ansible, Supervisor, Chef, Puppet or similar)
    • Understanding of ETL concepts, including how to ensure ETL process can be transferred between different DBMSs as needs change
    • Knowledge of the different types of cloud service, IaaS, SaaS and PaaS and when to use each one depending on need
    • Some experience of Hadoop and / or NoSQL systems such as MongoDB is a plus
    • Ability to program complex scripts for automating processes
    • Ability to comprehend the bigger picture and work closely with developers to architect infrastructure using multiple different technologies to ensure future scale, security and redundancy
    • Any knowledge of Ruby, Go and Python specifically around deployment requirements on Linux is a bonus

  • Ad Ops Executive

    The Advertising Operations Executive is responsible for the technical implementation, troubleshooting and quality assurance of client advertising assets. This will involve working directly with both, clients and advertising platforms to diagnose problems and provide feedback to improve future campaigns. The Advertising Operations Executive will also be responsible for providing training and assigning work to satellite teams.

    Technical Responsibilities
    • To understand the features and limitations of the ad servers/platforms that Infectious Media partner with.
    • To be able to apply internal ad server best practices to client platforms.
    • Monitor the implementation of brand safety solutions to ensure best practice is maintained.
    • Provide advice to internal teams on pixel implementations.
    • Work with the optimisation team to ensure creatives are set up in line with optimisation requirements.
    • Troubleshoot setup/implementation issues.


    • Develop good working relationships with colleagues based on good communication and collaboration.
    • Provide regular and accurate feedback on task execution to stakeholders across the company.
    • Provide training to satellite teams and schedule work in accordance with internal deadlines.

  • Junior DevOps Engineer

    Our engineering team deals with over 25 billion events a day over multiple data centres across the world. We do this by treating operations as a software engineering problem, automating our infrastructure and environment to reduce manual intervention. You’ll spend your time on the team driving reliability and performance throughout our entire stack, with the authority to make design changes and improve code where you see fit. This entry level position provides a graduate with a great introduction to the different technologies used in a high volume DevOps environment, including Systems management and Application Deployment. The role also provides a good overview of the Real Time Bidding industry and how cutting edge technology is used to power new business ventures.

    You are

    • You’ve used Linux and are comfortable with the command line
    • You know the basics of at least one programming language, we use Python extensively
    • You’re excited about working with large scale production systems which span the globe
    • You’re looking to learn about software engineering best practises, and how they can be used in operations
    • You’re excited about new technologies and how they can be used

    You’ll do

    • Maintain and extend our internal automation, from extending APIs to fixing bugs in scripts
    • Assist in the design and development of new projects with both the development and data teams

    • Participate in a light on call rotation with the rest of the team who build our production systems

    What we’d like from you

  • Marketing Manager

    Infectious Media are looking for a Senior Marketing Executive/Marketing Manager (role dependent on experience) to join our growing international programmatic advertising agency. Reporting directly into the Head of Marketing, you will be at the heart of our digital marketing efforts - both by generating tactics and acting as the conduit to the fulfillment of our marketing plan. This could be a great opportunity for an experienced Marketing Exec looking to take the next step-up, or a Marketing Manager who wants to join a fast-growing digital agency.
