  • Software Engineer - ETL
    London

    You'll be joining a cross-functional team responsible for software development and cloud infrastructure management. The team deals with over 30 billion events a day over multiple datacentres across the world and a rich ETL repository driving third party integrations and periodic tasks. You'll spend your time on the team ensuring reliability and performance throughout our entire stack, with the authority to make design changes and improve code where you see fit.


    About you: 
    • You're comfortable with Python (we're looking for over a year of professional experience),
    • You're confident with Linux and the command line.
    • You're keen to work with large scale production systems which span the globe (3 datacentres consuming over 9000 GB of RAM, peak Kafka throughput of 1 million messages per second).
    • You're looking to apply best practises of software engineering in development and operations.
    • You never say no to learning.
    You'll do: 
    • Develop software - stream processors, a large collection of internal ETL tasks, projects assisting the dev and analytics teams, event logging modules, and more.
    • Learn infrastructure management - writing Salt states, updating our Terraform provisioning automation, working with Google Cloud Platform, running services on our Mesos cluster.
    • Instrument the infrastructure to provide the team with situational awareness.
    • Help ensure we meet our internal SLOs for services.

  • Senior Technical Product Manager
    London

    As a Technical Product Manager at Infectious Media you will be responsible for running the team that ships features that keeps the business at the forefront of what is possible in adtech. You will be working with our Strategy team to define and prioritise what gets built, at the same time as keeping our industry leading technology active and delivering revenue. You will be someone that enjoys working in short development cycles, turning ideas into shipped products within a couple of weeks. You'll be able to work effectively with rapid feedback from our production systems and turn them into immediately actionable next steps. You will also be comfortable liaising directly with C-level executives on technology and product strategy to best utilise your and the Engineering team’s resources to achieve company objectives.


     

    Here's what we'd like you to do:
    • Own the route from technical specification through to shipping features across our core applications.

    • Feed into, and execute on, our long term strategic roadmap.

    • Manage the Product team, working out which products should be assigned to which team member and ensuring they get the help and support they need to succeed.

    • Keep up to date on changes in the industry to ensure we're always at the leading edge.

    • Prioritise the backlog based on strategic and revenue goals.

    • Work with teams across the business, including SREs, Data Engineers, Software Engineers, Account Managers, Marketing and Sales, to ensure we're heading in the right direction.

    • Run our sprint planning meetings and define our engineering direction for the coming week.

    • Prioritise and act on feedback from our end users.

    This is what you'll have done already:
    • Worked with design and engineering teams to ship features.

    • Queried databases using SQL.

    • Programmed in Python, Ruby, JavaScript or another language, ideally with a background in engineering.

    • Worked directly with key stakeholders to define technical requirements.

    • A STEM degree and 3+ years experience in a Technical Product Manager role.

    • Ideally worked in Adtech, but we'll train you up if you haven't.

     


  • Account Director
    London

    The Account Director is a pivotal role at Infectious Media. Reporting to a Client Partner, you'll be tasked with managing one of our top clients, helping to lead strategy that delivers performance. You will also be managing a team team responsible for delivering and optimising campaigns. Our ideal candidate will have experience in digital display or programmatic at an agency, advertiser or DSP.


    Here's what we'd like you to do:

    • Lead a team of account managers and execs to plan and deliver outstanding campaigns for your clients
    • Be the ‘internal client’ –  Ask questions and challenge the teams and status quo in order to be confident we are delivering the very best work
    • Build strong relationships with senior clients based on mutual trust and respect and a consistently high standard in all client facing activities
    • Identify and resolve potential issues and blockages before they become critical
    • Drive forward the client strategy and be accountable for the delivery of it
    • Be seen as a trusted advisor to clients on all aspects of Programmatic media buying within the broader (digital) marketing context
    • Set client expectations and work to ensure we deliver to or above them
    • Ensure timely and accurate delivery of agreed client requirements; reports, calls etc.
    • Identify and nurture talent within your team. Encourage knowledge sharing and personal and professional development, leading by example.
    • Deliver accurate spend and performance forecasting for clients and business
    • Spot the opportunity to pitch to existing clients on new products and platforms and develop the strategy to make it a reality
    • Support the new business team providing strategic direction and resource

    This is what you'll have done already:

     

    • You'll currently be a Senior Account Manager or Account Director
    • Be comfortable with data 
    • Experience managing a team of people
    • A confident and experienced presenter
    •  You may also have:
    • A strong interest in technology
    • A good network of industry connections

  • Campaign Executive
    London

    Infectious Media is looking for skilled, numerate and enthusiastic individuals who want to kick off their careers in advertising to join our Campaign Activation team. Since its founding in 2008, Infectious Media has remained a leading voice within the programmatic advertising industry, with cutting edge technology, great clients and some of the most talented people in the market. But what is programmatic advertising? In essence, it is the automated delivery of targeted advertising to consumers. It relies on smart people overseeing enormous amounts of data to make sure we are doing our best work for our clients, which is where the Campaign Activation team come in. Campaign Executives are the ones who actually deliver all of our client’s campaigns, making sure we carry out the plans agreed with our clients correctly and with an eye to delivering concrete results. This requires an enormous amount of attention to detail, a studious mindset and a willingness to get involved with complex problems at speed. Beyond that, you’ll contribute to client relationships, help evolve our technology (built in house) and deliver improvements in efficiency across the business. No previous experience is necessary, just an inquiring mind, a good grasp of numbers and a willingness to learn.


    Here's what you'll do:
    • Manage and own campaigns, making key decisions about how to improve our targeting to produce the best possible performance

    • Put together a weekly summary of the actions you've taken, so the account team can share these with the client, explaining your choices and the impact on the campaign

    • Sit in on client calls, providing additional detail and background where needed

    • Be the go-to person for clients

    You'll already be:
    • Numerate

    • Someone with strong communication skills

    • Interested in technology/advertising

  • Client Partner
    London

    Since its founding in 2008, Infectious Media has remained a leading voice within the programmatic advertising industry, with cutting edge technology, great clients and some of the most talented people in the market. The Campaign Activation team is the main interface between our clients and the rest of the business. We are looking for a Client Partner to take a leadership role within the team, to drive client strategy, focussed on achieving the big picture for your clients, team and the company.


    Here's what we'd like you to do:
    • Client responsibilities:


      • Lead and develop overall client strategy against wider marketing and business objectives

      • Be seen as a trusted advisor to clients on all aspects of intelligent online display. Shape client requirements. Provide inputs and thought leadership. Consult with them on how to best achieve and exceed their objectives

      • Grow new business from existing clients, spotting the opportunity to develop new and creative ways to add value

      • Maintain awareness of the overall performance of my different clients, working with the Client Services Director to resolve any problems

      • Ensure robust financial management. Produce and monitor accurate spend and performance forecasting across all activation teams

      • Develop an extensive network within my client base to cement long term relationships.

      • Identify and resolve issues before they become critical

      • Work alongside sales to contribute to the pitch process including allocating team resources and strategic inputs

      • Continuously develop my knowledge and market understanding

      People management responsibilities:


      • Team resource planning

      • Recruitment and retention of a best in class activation team.

      • Motivate, inspire and lead my team, fostering a culture of accountability and solution provision

      • Identify and nurture talent within the team

      • Manage the overall team development and learning.  Seek opportunities to mentor and coach as well recommendation of formal training programmes

      • Quickly identify and address people problems or issues within my team, escalating to the Client Services Director, if appropriate

      • Conduct half yearly assessments for direct reports and support managers as they conduct team assessments

      • Appropriate use of the company’s senior management to ensure strong client relationships

      • Effective delegation and escalation

      • Set an example and adhere to the company values and principles

      • Develop strong relationships with all colleagues based on good communications and collaboration


      My technical responsibilities are:

      • Comfortable around and proficient in the use of real-time advertising platforms

      • Visionary about the application of new products/technology for clients

      • Adept in the use of data, media and creative capabilities across all channels

      • Be commercially minded at all times

    This is what you'll have done already: 
    • At least 8 years’ experience working within the media industry, with extensive digital or programmatic experience

    • Commercially minded, with an impressive track record of contributing to new business through pitches and growth of existing business

    • Proven track record of managing and building sizeable client accounts.

    • Good knowledge of our competitors and their position in the market

    • Experience of pro-actively managing and developing a strong account team.

    • Highly numerical and analytical

    • Comfortable and interested in technology

    But, you may also have: 
    • A consultancy background

    • A good network of industry connections

    • Strong negotiation skills

    • Depth of programmatic knowledge

    • Results oriented with proven sales experience. Experience selling / developing strategies around complex business areas  

    • Fluency in German would be a big plus

    • Experience working on pan European/international accounts
